Canadians and people around the world received a huge blow with the news on May 17, 2012 that the Government of Canada was cancelling the ELA program next year.

On April 1, 2014, with the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), we have saved the Experimental Lakes Area. Research can now continue to ensure the health of our precious freshwaters and fisheries for future generations!
